The area we refer to as 5 December starts right after the hotel zone, as it goes to the city from the north points. In fact, you know you've come once the pavement of Francisco Medina Ascencio, Puerto Vallarta's main road, has been replaced by brick and cobblestone paths.

Arriving from the north points, you will find yourself in the Colony 5 de diciembre. Here you will find several medium-sized hotels and the Vallarta Theater, the city's largest dedicated interior performance space. The Super Law market is also located in Av. Mexico. The center begins at the historic Malecon of the city and continues south to reach the Island River.

Beaches
Puerto Vallarta's Camarones beach is only a few minutes away commonly used for walking and swimming, and can easily be accessed through several cul-de-sac streets.
