The second familiarization trip was called and organized by The Santa Fe Hotel Group, which maintains among its brands three hotels in the destination: Hilton Puerto Vallarta Resort All Inclusive; The Hacienda by Hilton and Hotel Krystal Puerto Vallarta. They also invited 11 travel advisers, including the Regional President of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA).
All participants from the Midwest of the United States, specifically from the city of Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, arrived in Vallarta through United Airlines and American Airlines, airlines that currently have a daily direct flight to Puerto Vallarta from the Windy City.
